If you have suggestions for a book to read and discuss in June feel free to reply to this post with the title and author.

Sometime in early May I will post a poll for members to vote on which book we will read.

Of Mice And Men by John Steinbeck. That's one I haven't read since high school.

Possibly Dickens, another author that I'm horribly ignorant of. I wouldn't even know which to suggest though... David Copperfield, Great Expectations, A Sale Of Two Titties... there's so many classics to choose from.

Excellent suggestions. I was thinking Of Mice and Men too.

I think the only Dickens I've read is Oliver Twist. I loved it.

It may be a good idea to pick something that's not extremely long too. Several people who signed up to read Gatsby have told me they haven't gotten very far. Life tends to get in the way of reading. I hate that.

Reality should not get in the way of reading, but sadly it seems to.

Length is an issue, I hadn't thought of that. I just looked on Amazon & a version there listed Of Mice & Men at 126 pages, even shorter than Gatsby.

I think A Christmas Carol is the only Dickens I've read, which was great.
