Some have asked for suggestions on how to prepare for a book discussion. While this is the first time for me participating in an online book group, I have participated in a few "in person" book groups. So, I have a few suggestions to start with.

1. It is often helpful to make a list of characters as you are reading. I sometimes do this inside the back cover and include a note as to who each character is.

2. Underline or make a note of interesting sentences/paragraphs. Sometimes I make note of important points in the story - critical discoveries, conflicts that alter the direction of the story, etc. More often I make note of sentences/paragraphs that strike me as well worded, unique, etc.

3. Don't be afraid to share your observations in discussion.

If anyone has more suggestions please let us hear.
